Alter Ego is the eleventh studio album by French singer Amanda Lear, first released in Germany on November 21, 1995 on label ZYX Music. This album, like other several predecessors, was a commercial failure and failed to chart.
Album information
In 1995 Alter Ego, marked Lear's return to Munich after twelve years, because most of the tracks (except track seven), where mixed at PNG Studios in Munich.
From "Alter Ego", where released three singles, only for the German market, "Everytime You Touch Me" previous recorded for Hits and More, "Peep!", the theme for her erotic German TV-series, Peep! and "Angel Love". All three tracks were available in an extended dance remixes and others were used on subsequent compilations, like Back In Your Arms.
In 2005 "I'll Miss You", a cover of I Santo California's 1975 hit "Tornerò", was to be re-recorded as a duet with German-Spanish singer Manuel Sanchez for his studio album Ambitious. This song is now available in the compilation Sings Evergreens, released in 2005. In 2004 the complete album was released in The Queen Is Amanda - Platinum Edition, a three CD compilation.
